We are Saginaw Elementary, home of the STARS! We are proud to be 301 — not just our address, but a symbol of our identity, history, and future.

The mission of Saginaw Elementary is to establish a culture that prepares all students academically, socially, and emotionally to embrace their future and ignite the desire to be life-long learners.

Our Points of Pride

Saginaw Elementary is a historic yet forward-thinking campus built on tradition, community, and student-centered growth. Highlights of our STAR community include:

  • A warm, inclusive learning environment with a small-town feel, low staff turnover, and a culture of connection through multi-generational families and community outreach
  • Leadership and enrichment opportunities through programs such as Star Ambassadors, UIL teams, and Honor Choir
  • Longstanding traditions like “Once a STAR, always a STAR,” supported by strong relationships with families and local partners
  • Consistent family communication through weekly principal and grade-level newsletters, and engagement opportunities through Watch D.O.G.S., mentoring, and a welcoming PTA

Our History

Saginaw Elementary is a cornerstone of the community with a rich legacy dating back to 1913. While the original school was built over a century ago, today’s students attend class in a building constructed in 1939 by the Works Progress Administration. The campus holds a Texas Historical Marker and is home to the original bell from the school’s opening, symbolizing the school’s deep roots and ongoing commitment to education.

 

The Community We Serve

We serve the students of Camelot Square, Rancho North Addition, Saginaw Crossing, Saginaw West Estates, Sessions Addition, Willow Creek Estates – Saginaw, and Worthy Addition. Our school collaborates closely with its feeder campuses to support students along their educational journey.

Our feeder campuses include:
  • Marine Creek Middle School
  • Boswell High School
